Chairs

Costantini Pietro designer side chairs are born in Italy's Chair District, where wood has been worked for more than a century. The frame is solid beech wood, built to last; the seat, upholstered over elastic webbing, keeps its shape over time.

Every model has a character — the high back that welcomes, the open back that lightens, the arm that follows the gesture — and a signature: Giuseppe Viganò, Giorgio Soressi, Stefano Spessotto, Titta Paoloni, Edi & Paolo Ciani, or the in-house design studio, Costantini IDS.

The wood is stained or lacquered, and the upholstery is chosen from leathers, faux leathers, and fabrics; where the design calls for it, metal takes the place of wood, as in the spring steel of Lido. The same chair can feel intimate in a private dining room and disciplined in a restaurant.

Many designs carry on as a stool, an armchair, and a lounge chair: a whole room, in a single voice.
